That's fairly true. Whenever we did go to the Catcus, we never stayed long. Mostly it was to take advantage of the drink specials and no cover for individuals such as myself. Plus, I think my friends liked to watch me get twisted enough to actually dance. A rarely witnessed event. Then we'd head off to a quieter bar or just back to someone's apartment for a movie or jenga. Good times.
lol! I'm just joshin' ya, guy. I'm glad you impose limits there though; a lot of guys don't or won't or just don't want to. My buddy Andy has that problem. I think the last time he actually dated a girl who wasn't 10 years younger than him was when he was dating me in college. Craddle-robber. And then he wonders why they are never ready to settle down. Duh.
Everyone loves Junior. He did well at Daytona. But he tends to do well at superspeedways. Let's get him to Bristol and see how he does. Never really liked Martin. He's like Favre; I just want him to go away. My guys, if I had to choose, are Tony, Happy Harvick and I gotta pull for Ryan as a fellow Boilermaker.
I wish it had been here when I was still in school. I've only been a couple times when visiting friends who never left L-town. God, I hated Harry's. No fun at all. I did like Chumley's though. They have a blueberry ale there that makes life worth living. I typically don't like girlie fruity anything but num nummy. And we did go to the Cactus a lot. What a zoo. Mostly we stayed in, drank, watched movies and played games. You know, I guess nothing's really changed. Haa!
Dude, I'm only two years older than you. It's not as though there's a huge generational gap going on here. I loved the Turtles and I briefly watched the Power Rangers when they first appeared here.
I gotta agree with you; this whole "playoffs" deal is way stupid. Just think about last year. The way things were going, if we still had it the old way, it would have been a shoot-out between Jeff Gordon ( ) and Tony Stewart ( ). That would have made a lot of people very happy and it would have been a blast to watch. Instead we get to see Jimmie run away with it... again. Boring.
I'm not sure that there is any pub as awesome as 9 Irish Brothers. That place is amazing. I had my first Blacksmith there. Nah, this is just a little place with a race theme in Brownsburg near to all the racing teams' HQs. Decent food, decent drink specials, decent atmosphere, lot's of TVs.
Haa! No younger sisters. What? Thirty is too old for you?
Yeah, I'm a race fan. Hard to live in Indianapolis and not at least know a little about racing, especially a west-sider like myself. We are immersed in it.
We never changed the channel really. We did scurry off to the pub down the street during the second red flag to get some foods and finished watching it there (which was very fun). Nothing like watching an event like that with other excited fans.
I gotta say, I wasn't all that jazzed for this season. Last year was pretty boring. We know what's going to happen. Same thing every year. I have hope now for this season. The France Dynasty will loosen the leash a little and let the boys race. Maybe, just maybe, we'll have a new face for a champ come November and the ride there will actually be fun.
I know, I know. I like to think that the whole of the county outside of our little corn field was rooting for the Saints because New Orleans deserved the win and because they were the underdog. Not because of any animosity for our Colts. That would make me sad. I'm pretty well over it though. Now I'm just bummed that the season is over. At least I have racing until it comes back.
I can't believe it's snowing again. Balls to this!
Thanks! I'll post pictures again when my dress is competely finished to my satisfaction. One of the girls in my program is dating a fashion photographer, so he is going to do a nice photo shoot for all of us!
