Yes, the official religion has only been established since the 1950's however it's roots far extend that. More often than not it was just lumped into the general paganism and witch craft propaganda.
Ah but don't forget that the wiccan holidays also took place towards the end of December, and the beginning of Spring (the reason for easter). Those were the real holidays the Church was targeting.
Yeah I'm pretty much aware of a lot of the Saint Nick myths, which is why it baffles me that he turned into a jolly fat guy in a red suit and is now called Santa. Can't help but link the red and Satan :P
As for the 12 days thing, thanks. Always been curious about that. Amazing that the song still holds up considering that the tradition it's based on is pretty much dead.
A bit late, but in response to your "ordering online" I should say that you don't get the same satisfaction as walking into a store, then walking out with what you want. You have to order, and then wait for it. I might be undecided on a game up until it's release date. Maybe there's two games coming out, but I can only afford one, so I decide to go with the ones that my friends are all going to play, or some other random scenario that might happen. The point being, I want to just walk into a store and buy what I want. This reserve crap is getting silly. Gamestop does enough business that they don't have to have a guaranteed sale to carry a game.
I liked that episode. And the mass retcon at the end was funny.
I thought that Jack was a bit overconfident and that's what got Ianto killed. Jack was just too cocky...
I liked Owen's episode, the one after he came back from the dead. I reckon that was a real turning point for Owen. He couldn't do all of the things he enjoyed doing.
I know. I never usually cry at TV shows, but losing Owen and Tosh in the same episode was too much/. I actually came to find that Owen was my favourite character. I particularly liked the one after he came back from the dead So what was your favourite episode?
