Crazy People

Okay so mid-Atlantic is pretty much buried under 2+ feet of snow. It's still coming down. I went out to get some pics of my house and I saw some crazy people out there. First was some SUV stuck in a snow bank across from my house. Second was a 4 wheel drive pickup desperatly trying to get off from the main road onto the side road where he lives. Third guy was someone walking back to the S8 apartments down the road from where I live. He braved the blizzard to find an open store to get a pack of smokes.

And of course me. Digging out a path to the street to get a decent picture of my house.

Also on the food part. Jesus was talking about the kosher rules (no pigs, shell fish, foreigner's booze). The rules were put in place for a variety of reasons. Like swine easily causing sickness if not cooked properly, and isn't the best of things to raise in that part of the world. Plus there were all kinds of additional oral traditions associated the kosher rules that added even more restrictions.
Interesting, I never looked at it that way before. I figured all the Old Testament rules still applied. This is probably unrelated, but why did God decide to do away with those laws? I've got a Comparative Study Bible (NIV, KJV, AMP, and NASB) and in the Amplified section in Habbukuk (I believe) there is a footnote saying God went from around 600 rules to just one, which is love the Lord with all your heart and I think that's in Amos. Am I interpreting that correctly?

Interestingly, the next thing Jesus said to the woman caught in adultery was to "sin no more." Guess taking verses out of context is a bit easy.
The image doesn't say sexual immorality isn't a sin. It says if you sin, (and I'm pretty sure in the Christian religion, all sin is equal), what business do you have judging others for their sins?
Also that bit on the drugs and alcohol was in the context of food. Seriously, you couldn't have taken that further out of context if you tried. Would have been better to use the "turning water into wine" story.
Fair enough, it wasn't discussing alcohol. But don't you think it would include it? What's the big difference between food and beverage?

Who wouldn't want schziophrenic fruit bats populating the earth? That's comedic gold.

My name is still pretty common. I know of at least 4 other people with the same name as me. Besides, I think I had my return address on the thing I sent you, so obviously I'm not too concerned about you stalking me.

In reply to Satarus, #3:
They said 2009 release date. I am seriously starting to doubt that.
Certainly looks that way.
