HOLY PHUHK'N SCHNYKIES!! UNI WINS AGAIN!

Apologies to Chris or anyone else who thought I'd now have an epic journal... but I just can't think of words equal to the task or a way to describe the narrative and live up to the amazement of it all.

I'm just so damned proud of our team and the amazing upset they pulled off.

It was a fantastic game and ... aw hell, it was awesome and I loved it.

Hail our Panthers,

We were lucky enough to be able to watch the entire game from start to finish. After the first 45 seconds, UNI had the lead the whole game. Pulled up by as much as 12 pts before Kansas would cut the lead down again. Kansas put the pressure on hard at the end and tried desperately to change their fortunes but UNI was able to hold it together enough to keep their lead in place. No superstars here, the team worked together and we had outstanding performances from half a dozen players. When Ali went cold, one of the Koch brothers would step up. O'Rear is a beautiful mutton-chopped monster and Egsleder could be surprisingly graceful at times with a sweet touch on the ball. And as I said in the last journal about how UNI is known for playing a great defensive game that shuts down opportunities on the inside, it was a low scoring and often physical game.

What ever happens next, UNI has now gone further in the NCAA tournament than they've ever gone before.
This was the third tournament win in UNI history.

Sure, I've already heard people saying that now that UNI's killed Goliath, they won't have another game as hard as this in the tournament. But I'm not foolish enough to think that means anything. So much of any game is in the attitude and UNIs' is bound to shift and everyone else's opinion and expectations going into their game with UNI is going to be different now. The teams may not be favored over UNI by as much, but the challenges and the fight they face in any upcoming game might be a lot worse than what happened today with Kansas.

But no matter what... it's all glorious, wonderful history!

And today is the best day in UNI basketballery and this game was just unbelievably ... um... awesome.

FAVORITE TV SHOWS

I like the one with the quirky characters who talk too fast... they're all so very brilliant and they make obscure pop culture references which I don';t see the irony of and so they somehow seem very witty. I always feel securely superior after watching it... but when that's not on... I just get out any of my various DVD�39;s of Joss Whedon's works and watch those repeatedly for the rest of the night. In fact I9;m going to rewatch the ";Smile Time" episode from Angel9;s last season right now.

FAVORITE VIDEO GAMES

Halo is the most versatile and richest game ever produced. I know. I've been playing games on XBox for months now. Oh and like zombies and stuff. Not in Halo. But another game I like has the zombies. Which is weird because I seriously hate zombies. It�39;s the only thing that creeps me out. After going to a zombie movie I keep imagining figures moving the dark edges of the parking lot and it really freaks me the fuck out. I think L4D is therapy. I have also enjoyed a few other really nice FPS such as Bioshock and whatever I played before that. But I can always get more out of Halo and they designed it to let me play with other people. No... not some one function of online matchmaking bullshit... but split screen in my house with multiple players against or with mutliple players in other locations and we can play campaign or a variety of other game types with maps we can edit. No other game comes close. Without Halo I wouldn't realize how good gaming could be.

Right, well I suppose I will have to cancel any trips out to see you guys. I might be coming back to America in the next couple of years so I could maybe see you then. A pity really I always wanted to buy a gun in America :P

How far to the right of California are you? Is it an easy day trip or is it a more intensive day trip (intensive involves the possibilty of meeting up with these characters and or creatures: Giant Fire Ants, Ninja's, Assassins, Ninja Assassins, Red Necks, Inbred Red Necks, Republicans and last but most scary, Inbred Red Neck Giant Fire Ant Ninja Assassin Republicans)

If any (or all) of these are that case I will need to go to a gun show and buy a gun.. ohhh can I buy a gun in America?? or do you have to live in the country? Can I pretend to be you when I buy the gun??
